I would like to start by thanking you for reading my blog. I enjoy reading (I better, since I’m a librarian) and I hope that my reviews help others find new books to read or promote good books.
The majority of books reviewed on this site were purchased by me, with my own money, for my personal collection. I have reviewed some free e-galleys that I requested through NetGalley. If I am ever lucky enough to receive a book from an author or publisher, it will be clearly stated in the review.
I am open to accepting books for review. I’m also willing to participate in author interviews, blog tours, guest posts, and giveaways. If you would like me to promote your release, you may contact me here.
Any book that I accept from an author or publisher will be read and reviewed.
Genres I like:
I read a little bit of everything but tend to lean more towards:
- Urban Fantasy
- Young Adult
- Fantasy
- Mysteries (less often than others)
- Paranormal Romance / Romance (not normally, but it seems to be a thing lately)
- Science-Fiction
- Dystopian
- Historical (not often)
- Children's and Middle Grades Books
- Contemporary Fiction (not often)
I am also comfortable reviewing GLBT in any of the above genres. I do not typically read anthologies, but if it contains authors I like or fits with my interests, I’ll pick it up.
Regarding Children’s and Juvenile / Middle Grades Fiction:
As I am currently an elementary librarian I will read just about anything in this classification.
If you think your book is not in one of the listed genres, but feel it is right for my blog, go ahead and contact me. I really do read a wide variety of books. The story just has to catch my interest. I’ll consider your book, though I do reserve the right to decline.
Requested book formats:
I will accept books in the following formats: galley, ARC, review copy, hardcover/paperback finished copy, and ebook format (I own a Kindle, an iPad, and have the Barnes & Noble free e-reader program on my computer.)
If you do send an ARC, I will treat it with the respect and will never sell an ARC. I will only include the ARC in an ARC Tour or contest with the written permission of the publisher or author.
All e-galleys will be deleted after I have posted my review. I will NEVER copy, forward, or in any way infringe on an author's copyright regarding an e-book/e-galley I have received.
Review Process:
If I accept a book, I will read and review it. It normally takes me a week to read a book and write a review. It might take me longer to get to your item as I do have a full time job and a family.
I tend to write reviews and schedule them for future posting. I try to post reviews of advanced copies the week before the book is officially available. If you have a certain timeline for the review to be posted, please let me know so that I can work with you.
All reviews reflect my opinion of the book. I will be honest, fair, and state what I liked or didn’t like - I will never trash a book. ALL reviews will be posted to the blog.
