On My Wishlist (#6) - Some more Iron Seas please

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday through Friday. It's where we list all the books we want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. I figure it's a great way to make me go through my ever-expanding wishlist and really look at some of the things on there.

It's also an event that you can join in with by linking your own OMW post with Mr. Linky at Book Chick City. If you want to know more click here.

***Slight spoilers for The Iron Duke below***

I enjoyed Meljean Brook's book, The Iron Duke (reviewed), the first in her Iron Seas series and I feel like I've been waiting forever for the sequel Heart of Steel.  It's good to see that Brook has another very nice chest on the cover of her book, but it seems that the super sharp nipple from The Iron Duke has returned.  (Is it bad that I noticed that kind of thing?)  I was very happy that Archimedes Fox wasn't eat by zombies and I'm very interested in Yasmeen's story.  (Though Scarsdale is still my favorite!)

Summary from author's site:
As the mercenary captain of the Lady Corsair, Yasmeen has learned to keep her heart as cold as steel, her only loyalty bound to her ship and her crew. So when a man who once tried to seize her airship returns from the dead, Yasmeen will be damned if she gives him another opportunity to take control.
Treasure-hunter Archimedes Fox isn’t interested in the Lady Corsair — he wants her coldhearted captain and the valuable da Vinci sketch she stole from him. To reclaim it, Archimedes is determined to seduce the stubborn woman who once tossed him to a ravenous pack of zombies, but she’s no easy conquest.
When da Vinci’s sketch attracts a dangerous amount of attention, Yasmeen and Archimedes journey to Horde-occupied Morocco — and straight into their enemy’s hands. But as they fight to save themselves and a city on the brink of rebellion, the greatest peril Yasmeen faces is from the man who seeks to melt her icy heart…

Heart of Steel comes out on November 1, 2011.

Just love hot men on the cover of books. Great way to start a day!

My wishlist this week was inspired by my walk through my closing Borders. I hope you will stop by and if you like please follow.

@ The Book Vixen & Mel - It's a very cool steampunk. I think Brook did a good job of staying true to both the romance and steampunk genres.

I'm also super excited for this book. I loved both stories in the series so far and have high expectations for "Heart of Steel".

Yes! I knew it! I knew we hadn't seen the last of Archimedes Fox. Awesomesauce. I can't wait to read this one, either. I'm also really looking forward to seeing what else Meljean Brook has in store for the rest of the series.

Lady Constance swept into the room as giddy and foolish as ever. To look at her, you would think that nothing unpleasant had ever happened in the whole history of England.
