There will be 2 separate but Percy Jackson related giveaways. This post is for the US residence only giveaway of a pre-order copy of The Lost Hero, book 1 in Riordan's new The Heroes of Olympus series!
This contest runs from August 31st - October 5th. The winner will be announced on October 6th.

My students and I are so excited about this new book! In the last two schools I've worked at, high school students were checking out the books even though they were Middle Grades level books.

September 2, 2010 1:08 AMI'm sooo excited for the Lost Hero!!! I read the first two chapters already and I'm dying for the rest of the book!! My sister got me addicted to the PJ series and then I got all my babysitting kids addicted to them.
September 6, 2010 1:56 AMI think my head exploded when I read the first two chapters of The Lost Hero. I pretty much spent the first week of school tracking down students who had finished the series so I could tell them about the new book!

September 10, 2010 3:11 PMThis is a great boy's book, but it's also a great girl's book. I haven't had a single student who didn't enjoy the series! Although I have had some girls not try the series because the main character was a boy. Pity, but that's the age they're at.

I'm stoked for this book...I still have one more book to finish in the original Percy series. I read the "sneak peak" of chapter 1 and this looks like it should be a great follow up to the series. Thanks for the contest. :)
